We carry a full line of high-waisted period correct trousers, in solids, stripes and plaids. We also offer a full line of knickerbockers (knickers) in a variety of fabrics. In the victorian period, black was the basic color for trousers, but light colored or patterned pants were also gaining a leg up. As the modern-day zipper wasn't yet invented, pants featured button flies and suspender rivets as belts did not gain popularity until the 1920s.
For rugged, outdoor endeavors, such as hunting, woolen breeches were worn and kickers were appropriate for sporting events. The biggest innovation in trousers came in 1873 when Levi Strauss offered blue jeans to prospectors in San Francisco.
Although our pants are designed for historical themed events, customers appreciate them in their modern wardrobe due to the timeless styles and patterns, the fit of the higher waist, and the durability and functionality of the quality fabrics we use.
